“I’m so glad I did that”. When do I usually say this?
Maybe I just finished doing some cardio and weight lifting. Maybe I went to a restaurant, ordered something healthy and put half of it in a to-go box (that doesn’t happen often). Maybe I spent some time with my family instead of looking at the computer or my phone. No matter what it is, it’s great to be able to say “I’m so glad I did that”.
Not all decisions leave us feeling grateful. If we are not careful, we can make a quick decision that will add stress and frustration to our life. This can easily happen with our finances. For example, buying a new car is exciting at first, but we may regret this decision when we can’t afford the monthly payment.
It’s important that we make wise decisions in every area of our lives, especially with our finances.
I believe there are 3 wise financial decisions that we can make today that we will never regret…
- Get Out of Debt
– Making debt payments every month is very discouraging, especially when you think about other ways that money could be used. Would you rather be paying on a car for 5 years or taking that dream vacation that you’ve always wanted to take? Getting out of debt will make you say “I’m so glad I did that”!
- Live on a Budget
– Having a plan allows us to make the most out of our money. If we don’t have a budget, our chances of financial success will be much lower. It’s important to know where our money is going each month. Living on a budget will have you saying “I’m so glad I did that”!
- Buy Term Life Insurance
– If something happened to you, would your family be ok? Would they be able to pay off the house and other debts? Would they struggle every month? Having enough term life insurance will protect your family when something happens to you. You’ll be saying “I’m so glad I did that”!
